Tim's Home Page
I've been so very busy with my new job that updating this site has been
much harder than I'd anticipated. But, in continuing the process
of highlighting a style of art I very much enjoy, I look forward to adding
my next artist.
This style of art I'm speaking of is called "
Pre-Raphaelite
"
and was prevalent around 1850 to 1920. Soon I hope to briefly
touch on the birth and growth of this movement.
Hope you like it! From the 1930's through the 1970's this
style was all but eliminated as fans of modern and impressionist art
caused or at least allowed this form of art to fall into disfavor.
Now there are whole organizations devoted to undoing this
mistake. I believe the renaissance artist Raphael would approve.
Click on the painting below to check out one artist's works.
